Chatbot
The Wild Robot ChatBot featured custom videos featuring Roz matching the user to their animal friends. To accomplish this, I first separated a screenshot of Roz into her various parts - head, eyes (with lids, and dilating irises), torso, neck & vertebrae and lights. I also recreated her iris LED animation and added depth maps to ensure her head would be able to slightly turn in 3D space. In After Effects, using DUIK Angelea, I rigged the robot for animation including a full range of eye expressions, lip sync lighting effects and programmed it with random motion to give it life. I added atmospheric effects to the background and sound effects to Roz's major movements.
For each video, I would import the dialog tracks, link them to the lights, then keyframe Roz's face and body movements.
